I am running Windows 8 on my laptop and after installation of RollerCoaster Tycoon, I am now starting to see some compatibility issues. It is either Windows 8 or NVIDIA Optimus Technology messing with how the game functions. Loading a scenario crashes the game and the full screen mode (640×480, 800×600, and 1024×768) sometimes doesn't work. I tried setting the to run in a compatibility mode where Windows 8 tricks the program into thinking it is running on an earlier Windows OS (Google it) and there isn't one setting that works consistently.
I'm just shocked that RollerCoaster Tycoon has remained compatible without any issue to as high as Windows 7, even though RollerCoaster Tycoon has been designed to run, at minimum, Windows 95.
